Body butters are the best thing you can use on your skin and hair especially during harsh winter months. That is why I am sharing not one but three butters that might become a staple in your home.

Cocoa body butter

Cocoa butter smells delicious, it’s good enough to eat, prevents hair loss and is so good on the skin for clearing marks and scars

You’ll need: 8oz butter + 3 oz jojoba oil

  • Measure and melt the cocoa butter
  • Leave to cool
  • Add the Jojoba oil to it
  • Whisk on a bowl of ice
  • Once it hardens, remove from ice
  • Whisk till fluffy

Shea Body and Hair butter

Shea butter is one of the best for softening your skin and hair. It has so many moisturising properties and my butter of choice.

You’ll need 8oz Shea butter + 1.5 oz coconut oil + 1.5 oz olive oil + a few drops of lavendar essential oil

  • Measure all oils except the essential oil
  • Whisk till fluffy
  • Add essential oil to your taste and whisk till soft peaks form

Mango Hair and Body Butter

Imagine my surprise when I found out it is actually gotten from the seed of the mango and not the fruit. It is odourless and brings intense moisture and hydration to your hair and skin.

You’ll need: 8oz Mango butter + 3 oz argan oil + lemon or mango essential oil

  • Measure all oils except the essential oil
  • Whisk till fluffy
  • Add essential oil to your taste and whisk till soft peaks form
